Elder Pride Services (formerly SAGE Metro Portland), a program of Friendly House, is proud to announce our 2023 Elder Pride Awards! These awards honor and celebrate those in our community who make a difference in the lives of LGBTQ+ older adults.

 Please join us on September 14th from 6:00- 8:00 pm at Friendly House (1737 NW 26th Ave.), and help us celebrate the exceptional people in our community who are making a difference in the lives of LGBTQ+ older adults. The event is free, but space is limited and RSVP is required. If you would like to attend please email rsvp@fhpdx.org.

The Elder Pride Awards is Elder Pride Service's biggest fundraiser of the year. Legacy Award – Kaiser Permanente

The Legacy Award goes to an individual, group, or business who has made a substantial contribution of cash or in-kind support, allowing Elder Pride Services to maintain or grow services and programs benefiting LGBTQ+ older adults.


Agent of Change Award Liz James, and Oregon LGBTQ+ Aging Coalition


The Agent of Change Award is given to a business, individual, or organization who is setting the pace with new ideas to improve services, visibility, and quality of life for LGBTQ+ elders in the Portland Metro area.


Community Spotlight Award – Tina Louis


The Community Spotlight Award is presented annually to an individual or volunteer group who has used their time and talents to support Elder Pride Services and those we serve.


Local Heroes Award – Oakshire Brewing and Volunteers at Portland's Meals on Wheels LGBTQ+ Site


The Local Heroes Award goes to individuals, businesses, or groups who have been exceptional partners for Elder Pride Services.


Lifetime Achievement Award – Eileen McClary


The Lifetime Achievement Award goes to someone who has used their time, talents and resources to impact LGBTQ+ issues over their lifetime.
