How to Host a Virtual Birthday Party For Friendly House!

GUESTS:
Think of some friends you’d love to spend a couple hours with (our program is about 90 minutes long.) Maybe a group of parents whose children went to Friendly House with yours? Your classmates from FH Tai Chi or Yoga? Neighbors who agree that Friendly House is a great place? People you have enjoyed volunteering with? Your family who grew up in Portland but is spread around the country now? The folks you usually sit with at our annual auction? Friends who love to shop with the proceeds going to a good cause? Whoever you choose we hope you'll enjoy building community as you help us celebrate!

FORMAT:
Once you have your guest list, choose your format! We recommend either Zoom or a Facebook watch party.

Zoom: If you are comfortable with Zoom, you can easily watch our Birthday Party with your friends using Zoom's screen share options! With the shared screen for viewing and chat functions on the side, you can text and talk on your computer while using your phone to bid and give!

Facebook Watch Party:  You don't have to have a Facebook account to watch the Party! Our Facebook page is public, so you can view it even if you don’t have an account. You can find our Facebook page here.To create a watch party from your Facebook News Feed or timeline:

• At the top of your News Feed or timeline, click Create Post.
• Click the three dots at the bottom of the window “…” then click “Watch Party".
• Search for a video (“Friendly House's Virtual 90th Birthday Party”) or click a category (example: For You, Watched, Live) to view additional videos. Note: Our live video won’t be available until we go live on Friday just before 6 pm.
• Click "Add to Queue" next to any videos you'd like to add to your watch party, then click "Done." You can choose to add a description for your watch party, then click Post. You'll see a message that says “Your Watch Party Is About To Begin.”
• Once you're in the watch party you can add friends to watch with you. Invite friends: Click Share in the bottom left to invite friends to your watch party.
• Add comments: Click "Write Something... " in the bottom right to chat with others who are in the watch party with you. You can click to add an emoji or to add a sticker to your comments.

• “It’s a Friday, and I love Friendly House” Level – drink every time someone says “Friendly”
• “Two Drink Minimum” Level – drink each time someone says “Community”
• “Drinking Responsibly (designated driver if you were going anywhere)”Level – drink each time someone says “Vaune”
• “Just a Sip!” Level– drink each time someone wishes Friendly House a Happy Birthday with flaming bagpipes.
• “I’m Not a Drinker” Level – may we suggest playing this game instead with a birthday cake?
